The Test Results

The test featured above was performed at a resolution of 800 X 600 in 16-bit mode at 75Hz.

As you can see, the Starforce manages to trump the Chaintech card, despite the differences in driver, and the fact that Chaintech outfitted their card with 64MB of memory.

The table above demonstrates the previously obtained, relative performance of an entire gambit of cards used in an Intel system operating at 450MHz. As you can see, the GeForce crowd dominates the pack. The Chaintech GTS R191 - which was tested on three different 1GHz systems - can almost be heard mocking its competitors. That said, the MSI StarForce manages to capture the lead, both with the v5.16, and v6.18 drivers.

The test featured above was performed at a resolution of 800 X 600 in 16-bit mode at 75Hz.

Here, the v5.16 drivers once again speed the StarForce to victory, while the same system with the v6.18 drivers runs neck & neck with the Chaintech R191, which itself uses v6.18.
