The drivers

The drivers that we employed for our tests were none-other than the v4.12.01.0623 bits that came with the installation CD. Below, you can see an image of the driver configuration panel. As you can see, they are identical to those employed by the GeForce 2 GTS.



Overclocking

As mentioned previously, the default configuration of the Desperado RIA2 SDR has the memory clocked to a frequency of 166MHz, and the graphics core to 175MHz. With a little help from PowerStrip v2.75.02, we were able to push the memory to 200MHz, and the GPU all the way to 185MHz, which resulted in an excellent gain of about 10%.



The software bundle

On the software side of things, the Desperado RIA2 does come with a few odds & ends: video drivers, DirectX 7, and a utility capable of flashing the card's BIOS. Unfortunatly, it does not come with any entertainment titles.
