As you can see, in low resolution, with 16-bit colour, the Rage Fury MAXX does not perform as well as the GeForce 256. This maybe related to OpenGL drivers needing to be optimised.

The same scenario is repeated here, only you can see that the performane penalty when switching from 16-bit colour, to 32-bit, is practicly non-existant with the Rage Fury MAXX, while it is quite pronounced with the GeForce 256.
