Below, you can view the compiled results in two seperate tables representing floating-point, and integer performance respectively.


As you can see, there is a net improvement in memory bandwidth when switching from the Athlon XP 1800+ to the newborn Athlon XP 1900+. It can also be noted that the performance gap between the Athlon and Pentium 4 systems is becoming smaller and smaller. It's actually quite surprising that the P4 systems - which use dual-channel Direct RAMBUS memory sub-systems - can't maintain a more distinct advantage over the Athlon systems and their DDR memory. It's also a bit surprising that the Athlon XP 1900+ doesn't do a bit better, considering that the KT266A chipset is reputed to be faster than previous socket A chipset combos.
