Additional features

Additional features of the Transcend TS-AKR4 motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 6 USB ports - two of which are located on the back panel, Power Failure Recovery, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

Installation

Installation of the TS-AKR4 is pretty simple. Essentially, the only detail to remember is the need to set jumper SW3 according to the CPU to be installed. After that, it's simply a matter of slapping the board in a case, plugging-in, booting-up, and dropping into the BIOS to make any adjustments.

Software bundle

The installation CD includes the VIA 4-in-1 version 4.35v patches, audio drivers, the Hardware Doctor Windows-compatible hardware-monitoring program, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, and Easy BIOS Live Update.

Hardware bundle

The TS-AKR4 comes with: one 80-pin ATA66/100 cable, and one floppy-drive cable.
