Additional Features

Additional features of the Abit TH7 motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 3 USB ports - two of which are located on the back panel, an integrated AC"97 sound-card, Power Lost Recovery, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

Last but not least, the TH7 also comes with an integrated LED diagnostic panel, and an integrated RAID controller.

Installation

Installation of the TH7 is simple, thanks to its jumperless design. There is essentially nothing to configure.



The software bundle

The installation CD includes drivers and patches for the chipset, drivers for the RAID controller, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, a utility for flashing the BIOS, WinDVD, Buzzsoft Free Software, and the Hardware Doctor utility for monitoring the hardware.



The hardware bundle

The TH7 comes with: Two 80-pin ATA66/100 cables, one floppy-drive cable, one game port, a thermal sensor, and a cover the rear connectors.
