Additional features

Additional features of the Asus P4T motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 4 USB ports - two of which are located on the back panel, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

Installation

Installation of the P4T is pretty simple, despite the presence of jumpers; the user's manual is quite detailed, and should carry installers through the entire procedure without incident.



Software bundle

The installation CD includes the Intel .inf version 2.60.001 patches, the Asus PC Probe hardware monitoring program, a program for flashing the BIOS, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, LCDM 6.1, Asus Update, DirectX 8, Cyberlink, and several others.



Hardware bundle

The Asus P4T comes with: one 80-pin ATA66/100 cable, one 40-pin ATA33 cable, 1 a floppy-drive cable, a support system for the heatsink, a pair of CRIMM modules, a connector for installing two additional USB ports, a facade for the back of the system, and several jumpers.
