Additional features

Additional features of the ECS L4IBAE motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, six USB 2.0 ports, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

Installation

Installation of the ECS L4IBAE is a breeze, since there is no need to set jumpers or Dip switches. Simply place the board in a case, plug everything in, boot-up, and drop into the BIOS to make any adjustments.

The software bundle

The installation CD includes the VIA 4-in-1 version 4.41v patch, drivers for the USB 2.0 controller, drivers for the sound-card, drivers for the network controller, drivers for the RAID controller, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and a digital rendition of the user's manual.

The hardware bundle

The ECS L4IBAE comes with: two 80-pin ATA100 cables, a floppy-drive cable, and a cover for the rear ports.
