Additional features

Additional features of the Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra Black motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 6 USB ports - four of which are USB 2.0 ports, Power Failure Recovery, Suspend to RAM, a Smart Card Reader, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

Also, lest we forget, the Dragon Ultra Black also features an integrated LAN controller, integrated RAID 0-1, a CMI8738 six-channel audio-chip, and the ability to treat incoming and outgoing audio signals.

Installation

Installation of the Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra Black is extremely simple. Since there are no CPU-related jumpers to deal with, installation is as simple as inserting all the necessary components, and booting up once the box is plugged-in.

Software bundle

The installation CD includes the VIA 4-in-1 version 4.37v patch, drivers for the C-Media 8738 sound-card, drivers for the LAN controller, a utility for monitoring the hardware, a utility for the Smart Card Reader, Microsoft DirectX 8.1, the HighPoint Utility for Windows, Acrobat Reader, and a digital rendition of the user's manual. A second, bonus CD includes eight utilities: Norton Ghost 2002, Norton Virtual Drive, Norton Antivirus 2002, ActiveShare, Vcom Autosave, WinDVD, Imagemore, and Acrobat eBook Reader.

Hardware bundle

The Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra Black comes with: three 80-pin ATA100 cables, a floppy-drive cable, a SPDIF connector, and an Ebox which includes four USB ports, and LED indicators for the USB and LAN controllers.
