Additional features of the ECS K7VTA3 motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 6 USB ports - two of which are located on the back panel, AC Resume, Suspend to RAM, BIOS antivirus protection, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

Installation
Installation of the ECS K7VTA3 is quite simple, despite the presence of jumpers. All that needs to be done is set JP3 to the desired setting, and leave JP5 in its default position. Once that's done, it's simply a matter of following the instructions layed out in the user's manual, and popping into the BIOS to make any adjustments.
The software bundle
The installation CD includes the VIA 4-in-1 version 4.34v patches, drivers for the sound-card, a program for flashing the BIOS, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, PC-Cillin, CDghost, MediaRing Talk, Genesys, and Language Genius.
The hardware bundle
The ECS K7VTA3 comes with: one 80-pin ATA100 cable, and a floppy-drive cable.
