Additional features
Additional features of the Abit IT7 Max2 motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, ten USB 2.0 ports, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, an SMbus connector, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.
The Abit AT7 Max also includes a four-channel Highpoint HPT374 RAID 0+1 ATA133 controller, a FireWire/IEEE1394 controller, an Ethernet 10/100Base-T controller, and a Realtelk ALC650 sound-chip, as well as a nice LED diagnostic panel and a thermal sensor connector.

Installation
Installation of the Abit IT7 Max2 is quite simple, as there is no real need to play with jumpers. Simply place the board in a case, plug in, boot-up, and drop into the BIOS to make any adjustments.
Software bundle
The installation CD includes the Intel v4.04.1007 patch, drivers for the sound-card, drivers for the USB 2.0 controller, drivers for the RAID controller, drivers for the network controller, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, the Award Flash BIOS-flashing utility, DirectX 8.1, Winbond Hardware Doctor, Norton Antivirus, WinDVD, and Buzzsoft.
Hardware bundle
The AT7 Max2 comes with: two 80-pin ATA100 cables, a floppy-drive cable, a backplate with a pair of USB connectors, a SATA-to-ATA adapter, and a cover for the connectors on the back of the motherboard.
