Additional features
Additional features of the Abit IT7 Max motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 10 USB 2.0 ports, Suspend to RAM, an SMbus connector, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.
The IT7 Max also comes with a four-channel, Highpoint HPT374 ATA133 RAID 0+1 controller, a FireWire (IEEE-1394) chip, a 10/100Base-T network adapter, and a Realtelk ALC650 sound-card, as well as a thermal sensor connector, and a LED diagnostic panel.

Installation
Installation of the Abit IT7 Max is very simple: put it in a casing, plug-in, boot-up, and hop into the BIOS to make any adjustments.
Software bundle
The installation CD includes the Intel 4.00.1009 patch, drivers for the sound-card, drivers for the USB 2.0 controller, drivers for the RAID controller, drivers for the network card, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, the Award Flash utility for flashing the BIOS, DirectX 8.1, Winbond Hardware Doctor, Norton Antivirus, WinDVD and Buzzsoft.
Hardware bundle
The IT7 Max comes with: three 80-pin ATA100 cables, a floppy-drive cable, a support for the rear panel, on which are located two USB ports, and a cover for the rear connectors.
