Additional features
Additional features of the Gigabyte GA-GOXM7E motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for mice & keyboards, 2 USB ports on the rear panel, 2 USB ports on the board itself, Power Failure Recovery, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared communication, and start-up from the mouse/keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also provided as standard equipment on this PC99-compliant motherboard. The GA-GOXM7E also possesses DUAL BIOS functionality, which permits the user to recover lost BIOS information after a viral infection, for instance. Finally, an AC"97-compliant Creative 5880 audio chipset is provided as an optional feature, as well as an i752 graphics card which comes as an integral part of the i815E set.

Installation
Installation of the GA-GOXM7E is a little more complicated than usual... Because of the sheer number of features supported by this board, it's necessary to take special care in referring to the user's manual to assure that nothing is left undone. The manual is well designed, and takes the reader through each step of the setup procedure, as well as providing an introduction to the many features that may or may not prove interesting to most readers.
The software bundle
The installation CD includes drivers for the i815 chipset, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Norton Antivirus 2000SE, Norton Utilities 2000SE, LCDM v6.00.5, BIOS Writer v1.03, Easy Tune III, and Microsoft DirectX 7.
The hardware bundle
The GA-GOXM7E is also accompanied by a hardware package that includes: an ATA66 cable, and a floppy-drive cable
