Additional features of the AOpen AX4B 533 Tube motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, six USB v2.0 ports, RX/TX connectors for infrared, Dr. Led (option), Watch Dog Timer, DieHard BIOS (option), an SPDIF interface, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

The AOpen AX4B 533 Tube also includes an integrated six-channel, AC'97 2.2-compatible Realtek ALC650 5.1 sound-card, and an integrated network controller.

Installation

Installation of the AOpen AX4B 533 Tube is quite simple, as there is no need to play with jumpers. Simply place the board in a case, plug it in, boot-up, and drop into the BIOS to make any adjustments.



Software bundle

The installation CD includes the Intel 4.00.1013 patches, drivers for the USB 2.0 controller, drivers for the sound-card, Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0, a digital rendition of the user's manual, a Windows-compatible utility for monitoring the hardware, Norton Antivirus, Norton Crash Guard, 3Deep E-Color, Docucom, DirectX 8.1, and AOpen AOConfig.



Hardware bundle

The AOpen AX4B 533 Tube comes with: one 80-pin ATA100 cable, one 40-pin ATA33 cable, a floppy-drive cable, and a back-plate with the audio ports for the amplifier, the SPDIF connector, and a headphone jack. Also note that the amplifier ports use very high-quality Cardas audio cables.
