Other features of the Abit AT7 Max includes: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, 6 USB 1.1 ports, 6 USB 2.0 ports, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, an SMbus connector, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.
The AT7 Max also comes complete with a 4-channel Highpoint HPT374 RAID controller that supports RAID modes 1, 0, and 1+0, a FireWire IEEE-1394 controller, a 10/100Base-T Ethernet controller, and an integrated Realtelk ALC650 sound-card.

Installation
Installation of the AT7 Max is quite simple, since there are no jumpers to play with. Simply slap the board in a case, plug-in, boot-up, and drop into the BIOS to make any adjustments.
The software bundle
The installation CD includes VIA v4.37 patchs, drivers for the sound-card, drivers for the USB 2.0 controller, drivers for the RAID controller, drivers for the network-card, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, the Award Flash utility for flashing the BIOS, DirectX 8.1, Hardware Monitor, Norton Antivirus, WinDVD, and Buzzsoft.
The hardware bundle
The AT7 Max comes with: three 80-pin ATA100 cables, a floppy-drive cable, and a support facade for mounting a pair of USB ports and a number of connectors on the back-panel.
