Additional features

Additional features of the DFI AK76-SN motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 4 USB ports - two of which are located on the back panel, an optional integrated AC"97 sound-card, Power Lost Recovery, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

Installation

Installation of the DFI AK76-SN is simple, as long as you read the user's manual. Since there are a number of jumpers to position, its important to insure that they're set properly before installation. Once that's done, simply slap it in a case, plug-in, and boot-up.



The software bundle

The installation CD includes the AMD AGP miniport driver patch, VIA bus master drivers, VIA Hardware monitor utility, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, and Trend PC-cillin2000.



The hardware bundle

The DFI AK76-SN comes with: one 80-pin ATA66/100 cable, and one floppy-drive cable.
