Technical details

Plenty of space has been left open around the CPU socket, which should easily allow for the installation of large heatsinks.

The memory slots are located far enough from the AGP port that there is little chance of a retention bar coming into contact with the graphics card when installing memory.

Seven 1500Mfds capacitors have been placed around the CPU socket.

The voltage regulation circuits are of the triple phase, single-Mosfets variety.

The ATX connector is located on the West side on the board, where its wires shouldn't interfere with CPU ventilation.

The CPU locking lever is made of metal, so there's little chance of it breaking.

The Northbridge is capped with a heatsink and fan combo.

Three fan connectors are included, all of which are controlled by the hardware monitoring system.

Hardware monitoring is controlled by an Asus AS99127F circuit.

The AGP port supports AGP Pro graphics cards.

An extra thermal-sensor connector is included.

An integrated Promise Technologies PDC20265R RAID controller is included.

The audio circuits are based on the C-Media CMI8738 PCI chip.

It's possible to manually assign IRQs, and exclude resources.

The BIOS can be reset to its default settings by pressing "CTRL + Insert" at start-up.
