Additional features

Additional features of the Micro-Star 850 Pro 2 motherboard include: Wake on LAN, Wake on Modem Ring, PS2 connectors for connecting mice & keyboards, 4 USB ports - two of which are located on the back panel, an integrated AC"97 sound-card, Suspend to RAM, RX/TX connectors for infrared, and start-up from the mouse, keyboard, or at a pre-set time. Hardware monitoring of fan speed, CPU temperature, and of voltages is also included as a standard feature of this PC99-compliant motherboard.

A LED diagnostic panel is also included, as is the optional Live BIOS feature, PC Alert, and PC-2-PC networking.

Installation

Installation of the 850 Pro 2 is very simple, since, for all practical purposes, there is no need to set jumpers.

The software bundle

The installation CD includes Intel .inf version 2.80.010 patches, drivers for the sound-card, DirectX 8.0, Adobe Acrobat Reader, a digital rendition of the user's manual, Trend PC-cillin 2000, MSI Live BIOS, Media Ring, and a large number of miscellaneous utilities.

The hardware bundle

The Micro-Star 850 Pro 2 comes with: two 80-pin ATA66/100 cables, one floppy-drive cable, PC-2-PC networking cables, and an extra USB connector.
