Introduction

Several people would like to set up a minicomputer-network at home or at their office whereas others reached already this stage and set up such a network. The latter, quickly realize that the cost is very expensive to carry out such a small network . However, thanks to the BUDDY B-210, these amazing costs are from now on, thing of the past. Indeed, it is as of now, possible to build a network for hardly the cost of a monitor. Let us see together the outcomes of such a realization.

The BUDDY B-210

The BUDDY B-210, of which we see a picture on the right, is a system made up of 2 principal components.

Initially, a PCI card which one will install on the main computer, which will hold place of a network card . This virtual network card will be connected to small box on which, will connect a second monitor, a second keyboard, and a second mouse, and voilą, your network is complete!

Indeed, thanks to the BUDDY B-210, nothing more is necessary to the installation of a virtual network since the second system shares the resources of the first system which becomes the main system.

Thanks to this technology, it is possible to harness 5 workstations on a main system.

Each station will be able to work independently of what occurs on the main system, because each one will be managed entirely independently.

How it is working

The BUDDY B-210 will allow you, to transform a single computer into 2 to 5 PC under Windows 95 or Windows 98 (driver under development for Windows ME and Windows 2000), while using from 1 to 4 BUDDY.

You will be able then to use each computer independently from/to each other and to share the resources of the Master computer. Indeed each user of a BUDDY computer will be able to connect himself to Windows under his hown  personnal  session  and   get

its own office (shortened, bottom and format of screen...). If the main PC is on a corporate network, each station will be connected to the network like all other PC.

Then you will be able to share all the resources and the programs * of the Master computer on each station in an independent way. For example, you will be able to get the emails which concern you, or surf together on Internet without needing to buy or use an unspecified sharing programme for the connection!
