JustLink™ technology overcomes many of the issues in 12x and higher writing speeds to CDs. Since the user's computer may be interrupted for other tasks, CD writing is often interrupted, and the CD write buffer depletes itself. JustLink™ technology can prevent under-runs by predicting when they may occur and then taking control of the writing process, intentionally interrupting the write cycle until the buffer refills and writing can resume exactly where it left off, hence the name JustLink™. 

JustLink™ technology minimizes the write gap to only 2 microns.

Lossless Linking Technology

Lossless Linking technology which only DVD+RW has; It keeps the gap between data within 1 micron meter when adding/editing. High Frequency Wobbled Groove defined in DVD+RW Standard makes precise positioning possible. Data on DVD+RW discs, therefore, maintain high compatibility with DVD-ROM, even data is added after the initial write in DVD-ROM format.

AOpen's DVRW2412PRO DVD+RW drive offers unprecedented performance to handle today’s demands by reading CD's at up to 32X speed, writing DVD+RW/+R disc at fastest 2.4X , CD-R disc at 12X and CD-RW discs at fastest 10X speed. DVRW2412PRO only requires around 5 minutes to write data of 1GB.

 

Comfortable Operation

AOpen DVRW2412PRO has Background Formatting function. The drive formats only a portion of disc first, necessary for initial writing, in just a little over a minute, then resumes formatting for the remaining portion in the background when writing/reading is not processed. It remarkably reduces formatting time from 90 minutes of DVD-RW. Background formatting is suspended anytime writing or reading starts. Discs partially formatted can be ejected from the drive and still maintains compatibility with DVD-ROM.

 

High Compatibility

■Data can be read by existing DVD-ROM drives and DVD-Video players.
DVD-ROM, DVD-Video, and Random-Access-Write media created with DVD+RW drives can be read/ played back with existing DVD-ROM and DVD-Video players, widening the selection of reading devices.
■Maintains compatibility with DVD-ROM even after adding/editing data by Lossless Linking. Data can be added or edited on DVD-ROM created with DVD+RW drives, and still maintains compatibility.

 

High Reliability

Lossless Linking and JustLink™ prevents 'buffer underrun errors' which occur when data transfer from PC can not keep up with writing. Buffer underrun errors don't occur during both of DVD+RW writing and CD-R/RW writing.

Its dust-proof design for the tray and the fan-less structure by low heat generation design assure stable performance for a long period of time.
